Beavertown’s seasonal blood orange IPA is back in stock. Be quick, it won’t hang around for long, and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

It’s the event that traditionally marks the start of spring. The annual launch of Beavertown’s blood orange IPA – Bloody ‘Ell – is one of the biggest beer releases in every beer geek’s calendar. Made using kilos of blood orange zest and juice, along with four varieties of US hops, this is a juicy banger in every sense.

Pouring a lovely, slightly pale, orange colour with a lovely fluffy white head, Bloody ‘Ell is a dangerously drinkable IPA that is perfect for summer barbecues or just for slurping away at in a pub garden. Coming in at a hefty 7.2% ABV, however, means that this isn’t one for the faint-hearted. Many an afternoon has gone awry following a few cans too many.

The beer is only available for a limited time, both in keg and stunning 330ml cans, so is sure to fly out of your fridges.

Or you could try

Fourpure Brewing Co Easy Peeler – If 7.2% ABV is a bit pokey for your liking, Fourpure’s tangerine and citrus Session IPA might be just the ticket. Weighing in at 4% ABV, Easy Peeler is a crushable and refreshing choice that won’t leave you reeling the following day. Available in 330ml cans and keg.
