Former chef-turned-author Gaz Oakley recently told The Morning Advertiser​ that pub chefs need to work on their social-media skills​ to show off their food. Here are some examples of pubs that are harnessing their social-media skills and illustrating their food in the best possible light.

The Shoe, in Exton, Hampshire, also highlighted its fishy dish.

This veggie meal at the Rose & Crown, in Sandridge, near St Albans, in Hertfordshire, looks delicious.

This 13th-century coaching inn, the Darlington Inn, Camelford, Cornwall, showcased its duck dish.

Fellow Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropub the Swan, in Bampton, Devon, posted a picture of its duck liver parfait to make your mouth water.

Another one from the Top 50 list, the Rat Inn, Anick, Hexham, in Northumberland, shows its sweeter side with this dish.
