Specialist brewer Hiver has launched its original Honey Blonde and its Honey IPA in cans, with further plans to launch seasonal variants in the works.

The new packaging format marks the London-based craft brewer’s fifth anniversary and is said to demonstrate the brand’s growth under founder Hannah Rhodes.

Hiver is tapping into the canned format, which is the fastest-growing type of packaging in UK craft beer.

Rhodes said: “It’s been fantastic to see how Hiver has developed to become a firm favourite among UK drinkers, both for refreshment and alongside food.”

Premium British brand

She added: “Our current packaged format perfectly showcases us as a premium British brand stocked in foodie havens up and down the country.

“With this in mind, launching cans made perfect sense to open wider F&B opportunities, especially as this format now accounts for 25% of craft beer sales.

“Hiver has carved out an area of the marketplace of its own and as the business has gone from strength to strength, we can boast a team and ethos that any business would be proud of.”

Hiver’s 330ml cans are available from today (13 September).
