Great British Bake Off 2016 winner Candice Brown spoke to The Morning Advertiser about why apprenticeships in the hospitality sector should be promoted.

Brown was attending a hospitality apprenticeship showcase event at the House of Commons during National Apprentice Week (NAW).  

She said it was crucial that career opportunities in the pub business were promoted as viable alternatives to higher education, given staff shortages.

The baker will open her gastropub the Green Man​ in Eversholt, Bedfordshire this month.
