Multiple operator Thornbridge & Co is set to open its Leeds and Birmingham sites this month (December).

The Colmore, on Colmore Row in Birmingham, will be available to the public from Monday 9 December and the Bankers Cat in the heart of Leeds city centre will be open on Wednesday 11 December. The venues offer beautiful décor, a wide drinks selection and great food choice.

There are also plans in the pipeline to expand the estate further into Manchester and Sheffield next year.

Coming to fruition

Thornbridge Brewery CEO Simon Webster said: “We have been working towards our Birmingham opening for a little while now, so are delighted to see it coming to fruition.

“To have Leeds opening at the same time and both in advance of what we hope will be a busy festive season is just brilliant. We can’t wait to unveil both venues because they are looking fantastic.”

Thornbridge and Pivovar joined forces to open new Thornbridge & Co sites across the UK in December 2017 with the aim to open 10 sites in the coming years.

Thriving social scenes

Thornbridge & Co pubs will aim to provide an expanding market with a quality craft offering and the opportunity for the full range of Thornbridge beers to be available to more people.

The two companies have worked alongside each other since the opening of the Sheffield Tap, in South Yorkshire, some eight years ago.

On the new openings, Pivovar owner and director Jamie Hawksworth lauded the opportunities the cities provide for operators.

He said: “Birmingham and Leeds are both absolutely wonderful cities and we are delighted to be adding to the thriving social scenes in both of them.

“Both pubs will serve quality craft beer, hand-picked wine, spirits and soft drinks and become an integral part of the community in both Leeds and Birmingham.”
