Pub reveals throne made from carvery ingredients for Platinum Jubilee
The throne, consisting of Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and veg, is certainly fit for a Queen and was commissioned by Bramley Farm general managers Julianne Martin and Donna Piling.
What’s more, ahead of the June celebrations, Farmhouse Inns’ greater Manchester-based Bramley Farm is temporarily rebranding to Ma’amhouse Inns, with a brand-new royal banner added to the exterior of the pub.
Bramley Farm general manager Julianne Martin said: “We’re all so excited about the Platinum Jubilee, and this incredible throne perfectly combines our love of all things royal with Farmhouse Inns’ best-in-class carvery."
Fit for a queen
“The Jubilee may be a couple of weeks away, but that’s not stopped my team kicking things off early and allowing customers to raise a glass (or fork!) to Her Majesty at Bramley Farm," she added.
The throne was created by renowned food artist Nathan Wyburn, who uses non-traditional items such as household goods and foodstuffs to make works of art including a portrait of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall in 2018.
The carvery throne forms the first of many Jubilee celebrations for Farmhouse Inns, which is known for its carvery and cake offering, as sites across the UK will be decorate the four-day bank holiday weekend.
Farmhouse Inns senior marketing manager Emma Smith said: “The entire nation is coming together to celebrate the last 70 years of Her Majesties reign, so we wanted to make sure Farmhouse Inns across the UK are the perfect place to celebrate, and enjoy our fantastic carvery at the same time.

She added: “If you want to celebrate at your local Farmhouse Inns, make sure to book ahead of what’s shaping up to be a busy bank holiday.”
Operators around the country are also gearing up to the big weekend, where licencing hours have been extended from 11pm to 1am. Star Pubs & Bars, for instance, has launched a support package for its licensees to help them prepare for celebrations ahead of time.
The kits include Union flag bunting, balloons, posters and outdoors signage, as well as temporary licencing guidance, top picks of British produce and ideas for activities.
Brewers have also come together to celebrate the Jubilee weekend, with limited edition ales – Thank You beers – crafted by leading brands and brewers and backed by trade bodies UKHospitality, the British Institute of Innkeeping and the British Beer & Pub Association.
