Pilsner Urquell reveals UK master bartender

Kecskes will be flown to Prague to represent the UK at the competition’s international final where he will compete against bartenders from across the globe on his knowledge of Pilsner Urquell and bar skills in a bid to become the world’s best Pilsner Urquell bartender. The winner of the international title will take home €10,000, along with the prestigious title.

Runners up Mitch Adams of the Thatchers Arms in Mount Bures, Essex, and Robert Hands of the Grey Walls Hotel in Windermere, Cumbria, have also won a trip to Prague.

As part of the programme, bartenders receive training on the lager category, brand and brewing knowledge and on how to execute the perfect pour technique for Pilsner Urquell.

The 2010 UK champion was Chris Bailey from the Mall in Bristol.
