Charles Wells Brewery’s Bombardier beer has helped publicans get in to a celebratory mood by sending out St. George’s Day (23 April) kits.

Over 2,000 pubs will receive the kits, which include giant flags, bunting, shirts and cannons shaped toppers. The 100 top-selling Bombardier pubs will also be visited by company staff to fit new pump clips in honour of England’s patron saint.

The Bedfordshire brewer is launching its summer marketing campaign following last month’s shield revamp.

Marketing manager at Charles Well Brewery Emily Hudson said: “What better place to raise a patriotic pint of Bombardier to St. George than one of our great local pubs? We’ll be out and about helping publicans get ready for the day.”

St. George’s Day will also see comedian Bob Mortimer make his first appearance as the face of Bombardier as the brand air their latest TV advert.
