BrewDog have today announced their launch of two new bars in Malmö, Sweden and Warsaw, Poland.

The Scottish craft beer company already have 42 bars across the UK and Europe along with São Paulo and Tokyo.

The Malmö bar opens today (May 4) and will be on two floors, have an outside area, 20 beers on tap and a Hopinator.

Biggest market

Following in the footsteps of Göteborg, Kungsholmen (Stockholm) and Södermalm (Stockholm), Malmö is in good company. Sweden now has the biggest international market outside of the UK.

James Watt, co-founder said: “Malmö is fast becoming an international beer destination in its own right.

“It is right next to Copenhagen, it’s got a load of cool people who are passionate about craft beer, it’s 100% somewhere we want to be!

“The food will be something new for us, epic sausages and charcuterie – perfectly pairing with the Swedish-influenced beer mix.”

New country

The opening of the Warsaw branch marks the 10th country that BrewDog now operates in and is the first in Eastern Europe.

The new BrewDog bar will have 18 taps, seven of which are Polish craft beers.

These include Artezan, Pracownia Piwa, Piwne Podzieme, Trzech Kumpli and Stu Mostów.

The Warsaw branch has also enlisted the help of Chef Marek Kropielnicki to introduce seasonal and local food in the kitchen.

The idea behind it is that they can offer simple food with a Polish hint alongside speciality dish of 100% Polish Angus which has been aged for 100 days.

Ambitious

Watt continued: “Warsaw has one of the most ambitious craft beer scenes in Europe."

BrewDog have been named tenth fastest growing company in UK with a three year annual profit growth of 120% which only accounts for 0.1% beer output of UK.

They have also recently passed a motion to make sure that BrewDog can ‘never be sold to a monolithic purveyor of industrial beer.'

Bars are also set to launch in Amsterdam, Southampton, Dalston Hop Works and York.
