Enterprise auction sees 12 snapped up

Out of three that actually went under the hammer, two went unsold — the Nags Head in Newbury, Berkshire, with a guide price of £325,000; and the Rose & Crown in Wootton, Bedfordshire,which had a guide of £250,000. The one that sold, the Crown Inn in Colwall, Herefordshire, went afterwards for an undisclosed sum. It had a £260,000 guide price.

The 11 pubs that sold before the event were:

■ The Britannia in Tyseley, Birmingham, sold off a guide price of £400,000
■ The Duke of York in Berrow, Worcestershire, sold off a guide price of £230,000
■ The George Inn in Maulden, Bedfordshire, sold off a £295,000 guide price
■ The Maesllwch Arms in Glasbury, Powys, sold off a guide price of £270,000
■ The Manor Arms in North Perrot, Somerset, sold off a guide price off £325,000
■ The Mile End, Swansea, sold off a £130,000 guide price
■ The Plough Inn in Pershore, Worcestershire, sold off a £250,000 guide price
■ The Red Lion in Northend, Warwickshire, sold off a guide price of £250,000
■ Spires Bar in Salisbury, Wiltshire, sold off a guide price of £225,000
■ The Three Pigeons in Banbury, Oxfordshire, sold off a guide price of £275,000.
