National Pubwatch founder Malcolm Eidmans dies
One of the founders of National Pubwatch (NPW) Malcolm Eidmans died over the weekend, after a period of illness.

Eidmans joined NPW after a career in the Metropolitan Police, during which time he achieved the rank of Chief Superintendent. He brought his many years of operational and management skills to the voluntary role of NPW Secretary.

Steve Baker, chairman of NPW, said: “Malcolm was the type of person who had a strong moral sense of what was right and what was wrong. He gave many years of voluntary service to NPW because he believed in what we do.

"Many people will have benefited from his support and guidance and he made a real contribution to improving the safety of licensed premises. I will greatly miss his friendship and good counsel.”
