All That Jazz, one of Stirling's premier bar/restaurants, has been sold by Christie & Co.

The building was a former grain warehouse which was converted and extended about 15 years ago. Since then the business has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the town's best-known venues.

Its former owner Alan McAish built the business up, but decided to sell to concentrate on his estate of tenanted pubs.

"Alan purchased a chain of tenanted pubs from us a couple of years ago and I am not surprised that All That Jazz does not fit into the company's portfolio," said Nicky Finnieston of Christie & Co.

The new owner of All That Jazz, Sandy Aitchison, will be refurbishing the bar and wants to build on its existing reputation. He has also planned various promotions to generate new customers.

"I have been watching the market for some time now and was looking for exactly this type of opportunity to come along," said Mr Aitchison. "I am now looking forward to revamping All That Jazz and taking the business to another level."
