Having been in family ownership for more than 23 years, the Boar's Head in Hampton Lucy, Warwickshire, has new owners. Sally Gilliam recently rang her last time at the popular pub. Her successors, Sue Hillage and Paul Farley, plan to refurbish the pub while being sympathetic to its existing character. They previously owned the Blue Bell in Henley-in-Arden. Fleurets' Birmingham office handled the sale of the free-of-tie-lease, which sold off an asking price of £110,000. Chinese turn Exeter's Harpoon Louie's, a bistro-style restaurant known for its speciality fish and steak meals, has recently been sold by The Stonesmith Partnership of Exeter, acting for the owner Mark Bimson. The business has been bought by the Nick Yau family, who intend to turn it into an up-market Chinese restaurant. The property is situated just off one of the main routes into the city centre and benefits from having a large municipal car park opposite, with free parking in the evenings. The restaurant has seating capacity of 60-plus. The leasehold was sold off an asking price of £140,000.
