The Ipswich office of Christie & Co has been appointed to handle the sale of the Spixworth Hotel in the Norfolk village of Spixworth, located some five miles north of Norwich city centre. Owned and developed by Mr and Mrs Colin Ward from 1966, the Spixworth Hotel first opened its doors for business in 1986 and has been substantially extended in recent years. The hotel now provides a total of 35 en-suite letting bedrooms together with bar and restaurant facilities and owner's accommodation. Six of the letting bedrooms, added in 2002, are self-catering rooms. The hotel is operated on a year-round basis and undertakes significant levels of repeat business. Tim Gooding, director of Christie & Co's Ipswich office, commented: "The Spixworth Hotel is ideally located close to Norwich city centre, just two miles from the northern ring road, and attracts custom from the region as a whole. Given the significant growth the business has, and continues to show, we foresee a lot of interest being generated." Christie & Co is seeking offers in excess of £1.25m for the freehold interest and recommends an early viewing.
