The Angel Café Bar, formerly the Fallen Angel, which was a successful gay bar north London, is on the market.
Property agent Fleurets is selling the freehold interest of the Islington bar, which traded as gay venue during the '80s and '90s. The bar is on the ground and lower ground floor of the property, with separate entrances to both levels. It has a trade kitchen and also a Supper Licence.
Chris Heard, of Rosebud Investments, which owns the bar, said: "The property offers the purchaser the opportunity recreate the success previously enjoyed in the '80s and '90s and the right person could once again turn this venue into one of the most prominent café bars in the area."
Andy Frisby, of Fleurets' London office, said offers were invited off an asking price of £500,000. "The Angel Café Bar offers a particularly rare opportunity for someone to purchase a freehold, in highly sought after area of Islington. "We expect a high level of interest from all quarters, including club and bar operators and potentially from the gay market, given the venue's history."
