Death row last meal requests.
1. IVAN MURPHY, EXECUTED IN TEXAS, 2003 Among other things, Murphy ordered a pint of Moollennium Crunch ice cream for his last meal. That Murphy should order ice cream was ironic since it was a bowl of strawberry ice cream that helped to convict him of murder when his fingerprints were found on a bowl in the victim's house.
2. THOMAS GRASSO, OKLAHOMA, 1995 As part of his last meal, Grasso consumed a can of Franco-American spaghetti with meatballs. But Grasso had actually requested Spaghetti-O's and did not take this slight lightly. His last words included his complaint: "I did not get my Spaghetti-O's. I want the press to know this".
3. JOHN WAYNE GACY, ILLINOIS, 1994 Requested Kentucky Fried Chicken, fried shrimps, French fries, strawberries and a diet coke. Once you get the colonel's recipe of herbs and spices in your blood, it's hard to shake. Gacy, the killer of at least 33 young men, was a former manager of a KFC.
4. ROBERT BUELL, OHIO, 2002 Buell requested a single black, unpitted olive in homage to Victor Ferguer who was hanged in 1963. Ferguer had requested the same last meal, telling prison officials that he hoped that an olive tree would sprout from his body as a sign of peace.
5. WALTER LAGRAND, ARIZONA, 1999 Living up to his name, LaGrand ordered a staggering six fried eggs, sixteen strips of bacon, one large serving of hash browns, a pint of pineapple sherbert, a breakfast steak, a cup of ice, Seven-Up, Dr Pepper, Coke, hot sauce, coffee and two sugar packs.
6. LYNDA LYON BLOCK, ALABAMA, 2002 When asked what she would like for her last meal she replied: "Nothing - a girl's gotta keep her figure". She consumed only milk and water.
7. JAMES SNOOKM Convicted of murdering his mistress, Snook dined on his last meal with his forgiving wife. His request to wear a tuxedo for the occasion was denied.
8. STANLEY BAKER JR, TEXAS, 2002 A former employee of a supermarket, his final meal request would have filled a shopping trolley. It consisted of two 16oz ribeye steaks, 1lb of turkey breast, and 12 strips of bacon, two large hamburgers, two large baked potatoes with butter, sour cream, cheese and chives, four slices of cheese, a chef salad with blue cheese dressing, two corn on the cob, one pint of mint choc chip ice cream and four vanilla cakes. Federal criminals are limited to a frugal $20 budget for their last meal request. Baker had obviously mastered the art of good housekeeping.
9. ROBERT MADDEN, TEXAS, 1997 AND ODELL BARNES JR, 2000 Both asked that their final meals be provided to a homeless person. Both requests were denied.
10. HAROLD LOYD MCELMURRY, OKLAHOMA, 2003 McElmurry went to town on Canadian bacon pizza, a pint of chicken livers, cottage cheese and one raw white onion.
