Entrants for the 2005 ALMR Operations Managers Awards have been whittled down to the final 16 as the last stage of judging approaches.

Seven area managers and nine business development managers will now be invited to join the Ashbridge Development MasterClass for a three days training programme developed in conjunction with the ALMR for the industry's operations managers.

Candidates through to this final stage of the challenge are competing for the title of UK's Best Operations Managers.

ALMR chief executive Nick Bish said: "The new dimension of the MasterClass in this year's awards means that those who go there are not only trying to win the coveted title, but are also going to benefit their own careers by spending time with some of the country's best tutors."
