Top level reshuffle at Diageo
Diageo Great Britain has announced a major shake-up of its senior management structure.
Two managing director posts have been created, with one focusing on the on-trade and the other on the off-trade. Jim Young, who currently heads up Diageo's Nordics division, has been appointed to the on-trade position, while Benet Slay, the current on-trade head has been handed the off-trade role.
They will both report to new chief executive Andrew Morgan, who will also continue in his role as president of Diageo Europe. Steve Gannon, who at this time leads the off-trade team is another new appointment stepping into the European sales director role.
Current Diageo GB managing director Don Goulding will take on a position implementing the new European structure.
In reaction to the changes Mr Goulding said: "I stress that these are important but wholly internal changes for Diageo. With the exception of some new faces in a few roles, our customers can expect to continue to receive our normal outstanding service."
