Banquet puts beer with food

Celebrity chef James Martin prepared a banquet for guests at a Coors Big Beer Day to showcase beer with food. Martin cooked an eight-course banquet to match an accompanying beer. Scott Wilson, Coors' senior innovation manager, said: "We want to challenge people's perceptions of beer. It is a great drink to be enjoyed with good food from appropriate glasses not just a pint in the pub." The menu included crab spring rolls and chilli jam with Carling, and vanilla panna cotta and minted strawberries with Kasteel Cru, a beer made with Champagne yeast.
