Nestlé FoodServices has launched a new range of culinary aids designed to deliver a more natural taste and appearance, under its Maggi brand.

The new Maggi - A Natural Choice label features low-fat, reduced-salt sauce bases, bouillon pastes and soups made with sunflower oil. In addition, some products are gluten free and contain no added MSG.

"In formulating our new range we have really listened to our customers," says Susan Gregory, marketing manager for Nestlé FoodServices.

"And, what became clear from six months of research was a need for 'cleaner' ingredients that deliver a more natural flavour, appearance and taste."

Offering real ingredients in a cost-effective format, the Maggi - A Natural Choice range has been developed in line with FSA recommendations on salt levels in food.

"Moving to reduced salt ingredients ensures we will continue to meet current and future customer needs. It also gives greater flexibility to chefs to season their recipes according to their wishes - it's much easier to add than to take it away," added Gregory.
