A new burst of TV advertising kicks off this month for WKD. The RTD is back with its 'Have you got a WKD side? campaign. In addition to TV adverts, the brand is rolling out a series of on-trade promotions, such as an instant-win competition to get a free cool bag. A second offer, running in wholesalers, will see licensees who purchase five cases of WKD receive a summer party kit to give away.

After Shock tingle

Maxxium is extending the After Shock range with a new variant that claims to having a 'tingling effect on the tongue. After Shock Silver is said to have 'an electric taste sensation and is being rolled out following a programme of sampling.

Sheps' 75cl bottle

Shepherd Neame is targeting diners by moving its Bishops Finger ale into 75cl bottles. The new packaging is designed to complement the 50cl bottle and draught formats but is aimed at 'sharing occasions.

New Grassa range

The Grassa family has launched a new range of Tariquet wines from France, including a White Vin de Pays des Cates de Gascogne, a Sauvignon, and a rose.

Rouwke's Drifts in

Malt House Vintners, Booker's portfolio of own-label beers, wines and spirits, has extended its Rouwke's Drift South African wine range to include four Reserves Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

9% Hercules for UK

Foreign beer importer Pierhead Purchasing is launching a 9% abv UK-brewed lager this summer Hercules Super Strength. This is Pierhead Purchasing's first home-brewed beer offering. Its other beers include Brazil's Lokal, Sri Lanka's Lion Dark beer and China's Shanghai Dragon.

Britvic backs race

Britvic has signed up as title sponsor for this year's 'Marathon of Britain, the longest six-day foot race in the world covering 175 miles from Great Malvern to Nottingham, which takes place in September. As part of the deal, Britvic will supply 20,000 bottles of Pennine Spring water to the athletes and support crews. Meanwhile, the company is revamping its packaging for Britvic 55 the on-trade sparkling juice drink, as well as introducing it to the take-home market this month.
