The Fleece Elland West Yorkshire

'Yes, we were very busy and our beer garden was full, particularly on Sunday and Monday.

We had a bouncy castle in the garden on Sunday, which was very popular, but Monday's sunshine proved a bonanza for us in both beer and food sales.

We have the biggest pub beer garden in the area by far and it was a case of every table taken a lot of the time.

'The town was very busy throughout the weekend and we enjoyed an excellent trading time.

We were 10% up on the same time last year, with food sales showing a noticeable increase.

The weather brought a lot of visitors into the resort but the good thing was very little trouble was reported.

The Rose Grower Nottingham

'It wasn't a bad weekend but we are mainly an evening pub, so Bank Holidays do not do always give us that much extra.

We had a successful quiz on Sunday night, and Monday brought us more visitors on their way back from Woolaton Park, which is a major visitor and tourist attraction around here.

'Wet and dry trade were both very busy indeed, but surprisingly there were not that many punters using the beer garden.

Food was the main beneficiary of the Bank Holiday and by Monday we were starting to run out of some items.

The problem with a Bank Holiday is you cannot get emergency food deliveries or even go out and get extra supplies.
