Valera has introduced a heavy-duty Sanyo Professional EMC 2001 microwave. The 1900- watt oven operates from a 13-amp plug and boasts a 37-litre capacity.
Cleaning is made easier thanks to a stainless steel cavity with sealed-in ceramic base plate and stainless-steel external construction. The machine has electronic controls with a digital display, and for simplicity of use by even the most inexperienced of kitchen staff, there are 10 programmable presets with three-stage memory in addition to a manual keypad and dial time entry.
To accommodate the widest range of usage requirements there are 10 power levels, including variable defrost and multi-portion x2 and x3 presets.
List price for the EMC 2001 is £1,499.
RH Hall has launched what it describes as "the fastest back-bar oven on the market" in its new MW1200 Microwave
from Maestrowave.
With stylish and food-safe brushed stainless steel exterior
and interior, it features simple touch controls - 20 presets, 11 variable cooking controls plus an express defrost function.
It can be used manually or pre-programmed, with a facility to store up to 20 preset menus, each allowing for five stages of cook, regeneration/reheat and defrost modes to be
pre-programmed.
A double-quantity key means twice the amount can be cooked at one time, with the oven calculating the extra time.
Despite a small footprint of 520mm by 406mm the MW1200 offers a 28-litre interior and can be stacked.
It currently has an introductory price of £399 + VAT and comes with a five-star, 12-month "no fuss" exchange warranty.
Panasonic's latest addition to its microwave range is a compact model with removable shelf and two-level heating, the NE1856-2.
It allows caterers to increase throughput of single portion or plated meals, says the company, offering savings in both energy and time: if a single meal requires a minute heating in a traditional compact microwave, two equivalent meals - utilising the shelf in the NE1856-2 - need just one minute 32 seconds.
The 1800-watt oven can be stacked, has a stainless steel body and cavity and offers a choice of 20 programmes, including two- and three-stage cooking.
