Black Sheep pulls in Emmerdale star for relaunch.
Chris Chittel, otherwise known as Eric Pollard from Yorkshire TV's 'Emmerdale', pulled the first pint of Black Sheep Brewery's re-vamped premium ales Emmerdale and Black Sheep Ale at a special launch party this weekend.
"It's not very often that we launch a new beer brand, and two in one night is unheard of!" explained Paul Theakston, Managing Director at Black Sheep Brewery. "Since it was launched back in spring 2003, bottled Emmerdale Ale has been a great success and we believe that the launch of Emmerdale as a hand-pulled cask-conditioned ale at the new slightly reduced alcohol content of 4.2% will increase its appeal further."
Theakston added: "Just to round off our flock of ales, we have brought the cask-conditioned Black Sheep Special brand and the bottled Black Sheep Ale brand together. Both ales were always brewed to the same recipe and now they both share a new brand image that will be instantly recognisable to the many thousands of people who have enjoyed our bottled Black Sheep Ale over the years"
