 BERNARD MATTHEWS​ has launched a range of pre-cooked, premium frozen turkey and chicken fillets. Made from 100% meat, the natural fillets are available as turkey marinated tikka, flame-grilled turkey, char-grilled chicken and lemon and herb marinated chicken. The fillets can be served either cold, or as a hot meal offering, making them ideal for popular snack foods such as baguette fills, tortilla wraps and pitta pockets, as well as in pastas, curries, salads and kebabs. Complementing Schöller's existing range, the new options include apple pie with butter crumble topping, strawberry buttermilk gâteau, cream cheesecake and Cointreau truffle gâteau. There is also a new range of patisserie style cakes such as café macchiato, lemon and lime and low-fat peach melba.  SHARWOOD'S​ is spicing up its Indian offering with the addition of madras ready-to-use sauce to its range. The rich tomato-based cooking sauce joins Sharwood's korma, tikka masala, balti, jalfrezi and rogan josh varieties. Seasoned with red chilli and fenugreek leaves, its ready-touse formula offers chefs convenience when creating popular curry dishes. The sauce can also be used to add warmth to soups, mixed with yogurt for a marinade, used to flavour mashed potatoes and bread, or even to fill naans. The spicy addition contains no artificial flavourings or preservatives and is suitable for vegetarians.  Wholesale distributor 3663 has added 35 new lines of organic and additive-free foods to its frozen "fresh and chilled" division. The new range, supplied by Pure Organics and Additive Free, meets a growing demand for alternatives to highly processed foods in the foodservice market. Julie Moore, the division's marketing controller, says: "Operators are finding that dietary requirements are becoming a greater consideration for their customers, so catering for a wider range of needs is essential." The range consists of 25 new organic lines certified by the Soil Association, including vegetables, burgers, chipolatas, meat, nuggets, ready meals, bakery items, desserts and drinks.  MAJOR'S​ new mari-base marinades aim to reflect global influences on cuisine.
