Coors Brewers has launched a new set of fonts for its extra cold offer, as it looks to improve the standing of beer on the bar.

As exclusively revealed in The Publican last week the global brewer has unveiled The Cold Beer Station which is a an innovative high-tech system for the dispense of Carling Extra Cold, Grolsch Extra Cold, Coors Fine Light Extra Cold and Caffreys Extra Cold.

"Half of all draught beer in the UK is still served too warm, especially at crucial busy times when cold beer quality is in greatest demand and retailers expect an Extra Cold dispense system they can rely on," said Simon Davies, Coors' marketing director.

The Cold Beer Station comes in three formats, with one, two or three points of dispense, with retailers allowed to pick and choose which of Coors' Extra Cold portfolio they wish to serve. However, Coors has stated only Carling can be used on the single dispense font.

The station also has an "Extra Fast" option which can be added that ensures a nine second pour - twice as fast as standard. Plus all stations will be fitted with an integrated beer saver which electronically alerts bar staff when the kegs need to be changed and also eliminated wastage generated by keg changeover.
