A great grill

Imperial has redesigned its Radiant Chargrill series in a bid to eliminate the hassles of chargrill cooking for caterers.

The Radiant Chargrill range has improved efficiency and has a larger "cool zone" between the burner box and the gas valves to keep heat away from the controls, so making it more comfortable to use.

New larger shields that wrap around the pilot lights to help prevent build-up of performance-hindering grease have been installed.

And the stainless steel units have removable reinforced cast-iron radiants to prevent burners clogging and provide even broiling. A slanted cooking surface allows excess fat to flow into a front gutter with a large capacity, removable drip pan, which Imperial says means more controlled cooking and less cleaning.

Pie and mighty

Lincat has introduced two new pie cabinets as part of its latest generation of Seal counter-top food-display equipment. The stylish new cabinets offer an economic way to display hot pies and pastries.

"Traditionally pie cabinets have been expected to offer functionality and value for money", said Nick McDonald, marketing and export director of Lincat. "But in redesigning our popular Seal models, we set out to offer attractive rounded styling and enhanced performance too."

At £335 for the LPW and £390 for the LPW/LR, the new Seal pie cabinets are competitively priced. The LPW/LR model is equipped with both a humidity feature and illumination for extended holding and enhanced presentation. Of robust stainless steel construction, they are both hygienic and easy to clean. Both models are 710mm wide and 540mm high.

Made for the job

Williams are now producing light-duty commercial fridges. Less powerful than traditional models, they are ideal for lower-volume catering sites. The cabinets are robust, effective and list prices start from under £650. There are upright and under-counter versions, both with front-venting ventilation, so they can fit even the tightest of spaces and work efficiently in ambient temperatures up to 32°C.
