A canal-side pub and restaurant with its own deli and café in the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire, has been placed on the market with the Milton Keynes office of Christie+Co.

The White Lion is a picturesque whitewashed inn standing alongside the Grand Union Canal and next to Startop's Reservoir in the village of Marsworth, near Tring.

The food-led pub is ideally located to attract the many narrow-boat users on the canal.

Stewart Harkness of the Milton Keynes office of Christie+Co said: "Our clients, Clive and Ilse Millac, have operated the White Lion successfully for two years and are now looking to move to Belgium.

"This is an excellent opportunity for new owners to purchase a very attractive and popular food-led pub with a delightful rural setting beside the canal at a local beauty spot."

Christie+Co is seeking £140,000 for the leasehold interest in the White Lion. The current 15-year Greene King lease runs until March 2017. Turnover in the most recent year was £380,000, excluding VAT.
