Red Bull turns pink
Red Bull has teamed up with a women-only taxi service to give out free samples to its customers. Branded fridges are being installed in Pink Ladies cars to enable drivers and passengers to enjoy a free chilled Red Bull or Red Bull Sugarfree during their trip. Red Bull said the drivers would be acting as "product ambassadors - endorsing its capacity to aid concentration and reaction-speeds when driving". The cars will be appearing in four towns and cities between now and the end of the year.
Sherry returns to its roots
A new website dedicated to wine and spirits from Jerez, the Spanish home of sherry, has been launched. The site, www.sherryshop.co.uk, specialises in fortified wines and spirits from the Spanish town and delivers orders throughout the UK. The site currently
stocks products from eight different bodegas.
Hip parties for the capital
Hpnotiq, the vodka, cognac and fruit juice drink produced by Chartered Brands, is running a series of Hpnotiq party nights in the capital as part of a link with the online entertainment company
LondonParties.co.uk. The brand is sponsoring events at a handful of venues in the city targeting fashionable young
party- goers, which owner Chartered Brands says fits well with Hpnotiq's positioning. The Hpnotiq Clubber Tour will also run at venues across the UK with the aim of finding the consumer who "most embodies the Hpnotiq brand values".
Best way for Italian wines
Batley and Bestway cash and carries are rolling out a new range of Italian wines. Bottled under the Cellar Trends label, the company's portfolio spans a range of 18 wines, from entry level up to more premium lines. As with all Cellar Trends wines, bottles are sold on a sale or return basis. PoS material will also be available for pubs.
