Foodservice supplier KFF has launched a range of organic products to help pubs tap into consumer interest in this sector of the food market.

All 30 products in the new range are certified by The Soil Association. The products include organic apple, cranberry & apple and pear juice from James White, while the two new organic bloomers in KFF's bread range feature an edible organic certification seal made from rice paper.

Also included are organic fruit and vegetables, including raspberries, whole beans, broccoli, peas, spinach leaf and sweetcorn, along with eggs, cheese and desserts/ .

Marketing manager Andy Weir says: "It's been reported that 44 per cent of consumers would like to see an organic option on the menu when they eat out.

"Our research tells us that operators find it difficult to source organic produce, as usually they have to use numerous suppliers. We've introduced these new lines to meet consumer demand but also ease the issue of sourcing."

Two new Organic Bloomers join kff's organic bread range. Rustic part baked white and brown bloomers feature an edible organic certification seal made from rice paper. They are ideal for traditional style doorstep sandwiches, served as table bread, or as a cheese board accompaniment.

A sumptuous Chocolate Fudge Brownie Cheesecake and a refreshing Mango & Coconut Cheesecake are the latest additions to an already popular range of organic cheesecakes and cakes. Hand made in Somerset using only the finest organic ingredients from local sources, the cheesecakes are pre-portioned into 12 servings for convenience.

kff has the best pick of organic cheeses around and these new launches are no exception.

Godminster Vintage Organic Cheddar is a remarkably creamy cheese, traditionally made using a 70 year old recipe with milk from an organic dairy herd grazing the fertile pastures of Godminster in Somerset. It is allowed to mature for at least 12 months, which gives it a rich and unique flavour and only then it is turned into truckles, by coating the cheese in a distinctive purple wax. Available in a 400g heart shaped truckle, this cheese is perfect creating an eye catching cheese board or for function catering.

New Bath Soft Cheese is similar to a good ripe Brie, with a white crust and creamy middle. It is packed in parchment paper with a red wax seal. Wyke Farms Organic Extra Mature Cheddar is made using milk from cows organically reared in accordance with the standards of The Soil Association. Typically matured for 10 to 12 months, it is a good strong cheese with a mature, rounded savoury taste and a lasting creamy flavour.

And for operators wishing to serve organic fruit and vegetables, kff offers a frozen range including raspberries, whole beans, broccoli, peas, spinach leaf and sweetcorn.

Other products include Organic Shell Eggs, which are sourced locally in Cranbrook, Kent and meet the Lion Quality standard, Organic Mixed Seed Crisp biscuits for cheese, and a range of organic condiments.
