Tadcaster pubs win award for beer
Tadcaster Pub Company is celebrating an award for its commitment to top quality beer.
MP John Grogan presented Tadcaster managing director James Crawfurd-Porter with a British Beer and Pub Association Beautiful Beer Award this week.
Grogan, MP for Selby and chair of the All Party Parliamentary Beer Group, was full of praise for the awards and for Tadcaster.
He said: "Beer plays a vital role in the economy of this country, and especially in Tadcaster.
"The Beautiful Beer initiative which encourages people to choose beer over other drinks more often can only benefit the brewing industry and I'm delighted that Tadcaster Pub Company has been selected for an award.

Tadcaster Pub Company encourages licensees across its estate of 64 pubs to stock traditional cask ale.
It even has a resident cask ale specialist, Glenn Hymers, a former pub tenant himself, who advises newcomers on the selection and handing of traditional beers.

"We must be the only pub company of this size that has a cask ale adviser on the staff - that's how passionate we are about ensuring all our pubs serve the best quality beer."
