Thank you to everyone who took part in PubChef's Food Report survey that helped us produce our October edition.

We learned that government red tape, the smoking ban and recruiting good chefs are the biggest concerns for the trade thanks to the 500 people who took the time to fill out our questionnaire and who took part in the telephone survey.

And congratulations to Mr K Jenkins of Tafarn-Y-deri in Llanedi Pontarddulais in West Glamorgan as he has won the £1,000 prize draw.

The other lucky winners, who have each won a magnum of Champagne for their efforts are: Mrs Linda Riden, Pickles Petter, Aberdare, Mid Glamorgan; Mrs Angela Loliva, Topolinos, Glasgow; Mrs M Pay, the Crown & Horseshoes, Langley, Kent; Mrs Karen Pickstock, The Somerset Arms, Dingestow, Gwent; Miss S Bloomfield, the Plough, Leigh, Surrey; Mr Steve Lamb, Ocean Inn, Dymchurch, Kent; Mr Mick Goodchild, Ye Olde Jug, Hardwick, Buckinghamshire; Daniel Child, The Nelson Pub, Chorley Staffodshire; Glen Williams, The Bell Inn, Tillingon, Hereford; Keith Starr, the Gamekeeper, Old Buckenham, Norfolk; Mr B P Tremills, the Crooked Spaniards Inn, Saltash, Corwnall; and Mr Darren Tingle, the Old Captain's House, Bigrigg Cumbria.
