Hospitality 2007, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, between January

22 and 24, brings together 300 exhibitors from across the industry.

Salon Culinaire Live Theatre

Eight competition kitchens are the stage for more than 100 contestants across the three days. The Compass Group- sponsored Live Theatre features some of the biggest and most-respected competitions in the industry, including the Major International Football Culinary Challenge, Tilda Chef of the Year and the British Culinary Federations Chef Team Challenge. Proctor & Gamble will be the hygiene sponsor of the Live Theatre.

La Parade des Chefs

La Parade, with equipment supplied by Dawson Foodservice Equipment, will provide something a little different this year as three of the country¹s best-known Michelin- starred establishments battle it out for gold.

Gleneagles, representing the North, goes head to head with Simpsons of Birmingham (Midlands), and Claridges (South). La Parade is sponsored by Welsh Beef, Welsh Lamb and Delice de France.

HCIMA Small Business Seminars

(HCIMA) and sponsored by British Gas Business, sessions will provide visitors with expert advice and guidance on specialised areas of the hospitality industry¹s thriving small business community.

BCFA Furniture Pavilion

The Skillery

Organised by the Craft Guild of Chefs, the Skillery will host a packed programme of demonstrations aimed at highlighting techniques and skills to make a chef¹s life easier.

With a varied programme designed to appeal to chefs of all levels, the venue will provide visitors with the ideal setting to discover new techniques and skills.

UK Barista Championships

The sight, sound and smell of the perfect espresso or cappuccino will never be far away on Wednesday as Hospitality 2007 plays host to the regional finals of the UK Barista Championships, sponsored and supported by the UKBC.

The event will see the top 12 baristas in the area battle it out for the chance to go through to the UK final later in the year where one winner will be crowned national champion.

The winner will subsequently go forward to the International Championships to be held later during 2007. Come and marvel at the skill of a true barista, and ensure you witness how a real espresso or cappuccino should appear.

Get ideas from the professionals as they create their very own creations under the watchful eye of a team of experienced judges.

Tea Lounge

Outdoor Profit Potential

Calor, the UK¹s leading supplier of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG), will be demonstrating the latest outdoor catering solutions for the hospitality industry and detailing how al fresco dining can benefit catering businesses.

Peter Bell, Calor¹s chef consultant, will host barbecue seminars throughout the show at 11am and 2:30pm every day, allowing visitors to learn about the profit potential of hosting outdoor events.

Peter says: ³Barbecues and hog roasts are being used more and more in catering establishments, particularly at events such as weddings and parties, and are popular throughout the year, not just in summer.

³The seminars will allow chefs to see the benefits of al fresco dining while having the opportunity to ask questions about suitable barbeque equipment for their establishment.² In addition to its barbecue range, Calor will also be demonstrating its range of heating appliances to keep customers comfortable while using outdoor spaces.
