Are you opening for business on Christmas Day?
Catherine Bown
The Crown, Rawmarsh,
South Yorkshire
We just open for two hours at lunchtime, mainly as a service to the regulars and we serve drinks only.
We tend to get quite busy with regulars but we always call a halt at about 2pm and we do not open again.
We think we all deserve a break after the Christmas rush!
Jim Hardie
The Blue Bell, Fossgate,
York
We open at lunchtime on Christmas Day and we're always packed with regular customers.
Perhaps it's because they know they'll get their first drink on the house!
We are one of the few pubs in the city centre to open so we are a natural port of call for locals.
In seven years we have only had one complaint about not opening in the evening.
Neil Monkman
The Fleece Inn, Elland
West Yorkshire
We open from 12 o'clock until 7pm and it's a very busy day indeed for us.
We have 120 bookings for Christmas lunch and we are also packed with regulars.
We finally call it a day at 7pm and put on some drinks and food for the staff who have really deserved it!
It's fast and furious here for the full seven hours.
Terry Kent
The Springhead Hull
East Yorkshire
Although we're a dedicated music pub it's worth opening for a couple of hours at lunchtime.
We get lots of local families with visiting relatives coming in for a quick drink before their Christmas dinner.
We used to open at night too but called a halt to this a few years ago. We really deserve some time to ourselves as December is so busy for us.
