Government kicks off latest drink-drive push

Key organisations including the British Beer & Pub Association and The Drinkaware Trust are linking up with the Department for Transport (DT) this month for the 30th government drink-drive campaign.

A range of posters communicating the drink-drive message are available free to all licensed premises in a national programme to remind the public of the dangers of drink-driving, and signpost the solutions. The campaign will feature on TV, cinema, radio, online and in-pub advertising.

Drivers are more likely to be breathalysed in December than any other month of the year. With 9,275 drivers testing positive for alcohol during December last year, the message from the DT is that even one alcoholic drink can be too much when driving.
