Richie and Mary Barrett pulled pints in 12 pubs across Leeds between 1970 and 1990, quenching the thirsts of thousands of drinkers along the way.

The couple, now retired and living on the west coast of Ireland, celebrate their Ruby Wedding on St Patrick's Day (Mar 17th 2007) and their son Paul is asking for help from Publican readers in a bid to give them an extra special present.

Paul is trying to track down images of all the pubs the couple once ran - including some which have sadly ceased to exist - in a bid to compile a commemorative gallery of their life in the pub trade.

Paul said: "We wanted to celebrate the fact that they played a part in the lives of literally tens of thousands of people. They're both well known members of Leeds Irish community, and regard Leeds as their second home and come back as often as they can."

He added: £The most emotive pubs are the ones that are no longer there, and we'd absolutely love to get some old images of them, as well as any old pictures of the ones that still exist."

Below is a list of all the pubs served by Richie and Mary during their 20 years as Leeds publicans, including the years in which they were based there. If you or anybody you know has any images that you'd be willing to share of any of the following pubs, please contact us at: news@thepublican.com, 020 7955 3759 or contact Paul directly at barrett_p@hotmail.com
