Ember Inns is urging customers to drink pink this month to help raise money for a breast cancer charity.

Pub goers will raise a glass of rosé wine as Ember Inns and charity Against Breast Cancer launch the second annual 'Drink Pink' fundraising campaign.

From 5 March, all 176 Ember Inns pubs across the country will invite guests to swap their usual tipple for a glass of rosé wine, with 5p per glass (20p per bottle) being donated to Against Breast Cancer. Pin badges will also be available for sale to guests in pub for a suggested minimum donation of £1, all of which will help reach the overall target donation of £30,000.Our pub teams are a creative bunch of people and I know they will really seize the initiative and come up with some quirky fundraising events!Matthew Deane, senior marketing manager at Ember Inns

All funds raised will contribute to vital research work into diet and lifestyle that Against Breast Cancer carries out on behalf of those living with the disease. Last year the campaign raised over £26,500 for the charity.

Pub team members will be backing the campaign by organising local fundraising events such as quiz nights, pamper evenings and flower arranging sessions to raise additional funds for the charity. On Mother's Day (18 March) Ember Inns will double the donation from 5p to 10p for every glass of rosé wine sold.

Matthew Deane, senior marketing manager at Ember Inns, said: "We've developed a close bond with Against Breast Cancer and this campaign will hopefully be bigger and better than last year.

"Our pub teams are a creative bunch of people and I know they will really seize the initiative and come up with some quirky fundraising events!"
