The 3663 Live Food Experience at Publican Live will be a new and improved version of the pub food theatre popular in previous years at the Pub and Bar show.

While the main events in the section of the new show will be hosted by sponsor 3663, there will also be plenty of other exhibitors showing off their latest products and services for pubs.

Ian Holliday, group sales manager at the foodservice company, says: "We believe our stand will provide a real hub of activity where publicans will be able to discover innovative products, sample new recipes and discover new ways to make the most of their food offering."

The 3663 Live Food Experience is the ideal place for visitors looking for advice and inspirational tips to really help their business to grow, he believes.

"At this year's Publican Live the 3663 Live Food Experience will cover a range of topics to help pubs build their business, provide a place where visitors can pick up innovative meal ideas from industry chefs and learn about exciting new products. It will also offer plenty of opportunities to get involved throughout the show with tasting areas, lots of audience participation and opportunities to ask questions," Ian continues.

The main section of the Live Food Experience will be divided into three areas:

Lamb Experience

Glenn Eastwood of the Barton Meat Company will be demonstrating butchery skills on a diverse range of lamb cuts from the first spring lambs of the season. David Wood, 3663 client development manager, will also be providing top tips on cooking lamb and cooking up some exciting recipes.

Fish Experience

Fresh fish is proving to be a growth area. Come and see 3663 staff filleting and preparing a recently launched range of fish. Shaun Hill, 3663 chief executive, will also be creating recipes with the products.

Menu planning

With the smoking ban around the corner, menu planning is essential, whether you are setting up a food operation or upgrading your offer.

David Wood will share his experience of menu planning, using information available from the 3663 customer advice centre, which covers menu planning, marketing, food costs and more.

Visitors can try a range of recipes - many of which will be simple dishes designed to prove that food is possible even for pubs with limited resources.

There will also be two other tasting areas:

Pasta Di Capri

A new range of pastas will be launched by 3663 at the Live Food Experience. Pasta Di Capri encompasses a number of authentic Italian products made without artificial colouring or preservatives, with quick cooking times as short as 30 seconds. Visitors will find information on the new products and have the opportunity to taste them.

Whites

The 3663 Whites products are premium pre-prepared ingredients designed as components with which pub chefs can build dishes.

Whites will be unveiling and offering tastings of the new range at the Live Food Experience. The new products follow the initial launch of the range, which included Aberdeen Angus beef, three cheese lasagne, Cumberland fish pie and beef Wellington.
