New deadline and sports in Sky deal
Sky is extending its cut-price football offer for pubs until 22 June and adding new sports to the package.
Sky is freezing its basic subscription price for the 2007/2008 season for pubs buying the new Football+ package, which replaces Premiership Plus.
Under the deal, pubs will also get a 20% discount on Football+, which is priced the same as the 2006/2007 season's Prem Plus and will include all Monday night Premiership games.
The promotion originally applied to pubs that signed up before the end of May, but the deadline has now been extended until 22 June.
Sky also announced that the new package will now include extra content, amounting to over 2,500 additional hours of sport.
A spokeswoman for Sky said: "Football+ provides licensees with the opportunity to benefit from fantastic additional content, including Monday-night premiership football, and US PGA Tour Golf, which is only available to domestic customers if they pay for a Setanta subscription."
She added that take-up of the offer among licensees had been "very good".
As Sky has not yet announced subscription rates for the 2007/2008 season, many pubs are left wondering whether it's worth signing up now rather than waiting until they know how much they'll be paying next season.
The Sky spokeswoman said no date has been set to release details of next season's rates.
