Gastropub entrepreneurs the Martin brothers are to open a sixth venue next February.

Tom and Ed Martin are the team behind The Gun, The Empress of India, The Well, The White Swan and the soon to be opened Prince Arthur in London Fields. Their sixth venue is at 7 Sloane Square, London SW1.

Owned by the Cadogan Estate, the 2,500 square ft, glass-fronted site, formerly called the Royal Court Tavern, is located on the north eastern corner of Sloane Square, adjacent to the new Sloane Square Hotel. The premises are close to numerous luxury retailers including Tiffany, Cartier and Mont Blanc.

Following significant interest from over 50 international businesses, the Cadogan Estate accepted Tom and Ed's bid to operate a top-end bar and dining room and have granted the brothers a long lease of the premises.

The site is currently in shell condition and will require a completely new design and build including a brand new bar and restaurant, commercial kitchens, toilets and back of house areas.

Reflecting the location and quality of its neighbours, the new 80 cover dining room and bar will serve modern British seasonal food, using only carefully selected producers, alongside vintage champagnes, fine wines, premium spirits, bottled beers and cask ales. The venue will open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and supper.

Tom Martin said "We are over the moon to have secured such a prestigious location for our sixth outlet and to have beaten off such stiff competition from much larger, longer established companies."

The bar and dining room is due to open in late February 2008.
