Brewer and retailer JW Lees

has launched a unique pint glass. The Grip Glass has grooves to fit the hand, allowing a proper grip on the glass.

There are four grooves for your fingers, as well as a thumb groove on the opposite side of the glass, and it works perfectly regardless of whether you're right or left-handed.

JW Lees' claims the launch signifies its continued crusade to be the most exciting brewer in the north. William Lees-Jones, managing director, said "We're very excited about the new glass. Early trials have already proved it to be extremely popular".

JW Lees has a marketing campaign planned as well. Emma Cartlidge, marketing manager, has confirmed that there will be an extensive billboard campaign around the north-west of England during October and November.

"The billboards are designed to drive people into our pubs, and try a pint of bitter in our new glass for themselves," said Cartlidge.

The Grip Glass will not be nucleated, and will be used for bitter and cask ale only.
