The Premier League top spot remains tied between Arsenal and Manchester United, but Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth are only a couple of points adrift, with Manchester City and Blackburn up there too.

All this will make for a hard-fought battle on Sunday as Sven Goran Eriksson's side travel to Fratton Park, so tune into Portsmouth v Man City from 3.30pm on SS1.

Also in the Premier League, Fulham head north for a tricky fixture at Anfield on Saturday. Liverpool v Fulham is on Setanta1 at 5.15pm.

There are two local derbies this weekend. Sunderland host Newcastle United on Saturday (12.30pm, SS1), while at the same time on Sunday, Aston Villa take the fight to St Andrew's. Coverage of the Birmingham derby is on SS1.

Currently hovering mid-table, Reading have a difficult prospect on Monday, with a visit from Arsenal. Setanta1 has action from 7.00pm.

UEFA Cup Group G action kicks off today in Jaffa as Spurs travel to Israel for their first European match under new manager Juande Ramos.

Hapoel Tel Aviv made it through to the final 32 of the UEFA Cup last season, but were knocked out by Rangers. See how they fare this afternoon on five from 3.40pm.

Bolton Wanderers are still in the Premier League bottom three but Gary Megson will be hoping his side have gained confidence from their clawed-back draw at Upton Park last weekend. Tonight, they take on legendary Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich. The action starts at 5.55pm on five.

Everton's last European match, a 3-1 victory over Larissa, will give them confidence for today's tussle with Nuremberg - currently struggling to hold their place in the Bundesliga. Five's coverage starts at 8.00pm.

Great Britain rugby league fans will look forward to Saturday (SS3, 5.30pm), in the hope of punishing the Kiwis with a third and final victory in the Test series.
