Heineken launches rugby-themed POS kits
Heineken is rolling out a new line-up of rugby-themed point-of-sale material in the lead-up to the Heineken Cup Final in May.
At the heart of the POS ranege are three A2 posters - Try, Line Out and Tackle - which each feature silhouettes of rugby players sculpted out of a foaming head of Heineken.
The visuals also appear on A3 back bar display boards, table talkers, empty belly posters, mirror and window stickers, bunting and outdoor banners which invite passers-by to "Catch the action - here".
Chris Duffy, Heineken UK's Customer Marketing Controller, said: "We want to involve licensees and help them make the most of the excitement and sales opportunity generated by the Heineken Cup.
"Interest in the tournament is really gathering momentum as we swing into the final stages of the competition and rolling out the POS materials now will enable licensees to start building up the atmosphere in their outlet.
"Rather than produce prescriptive kits, we've put together a selection of items which licensees can mix and match to suit their particular pubs and bars."
The Heineken Cup Final will be staged at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 24 May.
The Quarter Finals will be played on 4, 5 and 6 April with the following teams competing to go through to the Semi Finals which will take place on 26 & 27 April:
