Saturday's match in Cardiff between Wales and France will decide this year's Six Nations winners.

Warren Gatland's side clinched the Triple Crown with last weekend's victory over Ireland at Dublin's Croke Park, but must triumph again in their fifth and final game to seal the championship and repeat their long-awaited 2005 Grand Slam.

Wales are two points clear at the top of the table, ahead of Marc Lièvremont's second-placed French side, and with a significant advantage should it come down to points difference. The visitors will have to beat the Dragons by at least 20 points at the Millennium Stadium to turn the champiionship to their favour.

Scotland scored their first victory of the tournament -against England - claiming the Calcutta Cup in the process. They travel to Rome on Saturday to see if they can avoid picking up the wooden spoon for the second year running (BBC1, 12.45pm).

Twickenham is the venue for England's final match (BBC1, 2.50pm). Can they turn around their form against Scotland and restore some pride against Ireland?

In Premiership football, mid-

table Middlesbrough visit the Emirates Stadium on Saturday (Setanta1, 5.15pm), while Sunday sees Everton travelling to Fulham (SS1, 1.00pm). If the Toffees secure three points it will boost fourth-place hopes.

Spurs will try to strengthen their League campaign with a trip to the City of Manchester Stadium (SS1, 3.30pm). The Sky Blues started the season well, but have been shaky recently, losing to Reading among others. Can Sven Goran Eriksson get his side back on track?

With both clubs in the bottom half of the table, any points gleaned from Monday's match (7.30pm, Setanta1) between Birmingham and Newcastle United will be eagerly grasped. Birmingham are currently dangerously near the drop zone.
