Premium soft drinks producer Bottle Green is looking to increase its presence in the on-trade a year after being bought by a private equity company. The company is introducing new products and relaunching its entire range in a bid to woo members of the trade.

The producer's range of cordials will be the first to adopt a new look from this month and three new flavours will be added to the range — Pomegranate & Elderflower, Cox's Apple & Plum, and Cranberry & Orange Pressé.

The redesign involves the introduction of fruit and herb illustrations to the bottles and a more prominent brand logo.

Bottle Green pressés and sorbets will be re-launched later in the year.

The re-launch is being backed by a £1m marketing campaign, including ads in women's lifestyle and food magazines.

Bottle Green was sold by founders Kit and Shireen Morris a year ago to private equity firm Piper, which aims to build sales of the company to £25m by 2012.

Marketing director Andrew Mallinson said: "To reach our goal we are looking to take the brand into new distribution channels.

"We will be developing our presence in the on-trade as pub and bar chains are increasingly looking to appeal to those consumers who demand more sophisticated soft drinks as a wine alternative."
