£400K makeover for Northants pub
An Everards-owned Northamptonshire pub has been transformed with a £400,000 refurbishment as part of a bid to make the group's pubs the "focus of local communities".
The Everard Arms in Corby, which is leased to Kelly Taverns, has a new stage in the bar, an extended lounge and heated decking area built into the garden. Everards cask ales will also be served at the pub, which will be managed by Mandy and Gary McFarlane.
David Harrison, Everards operations director - tenanted trade, said: "The refurbishment of the Everard Arms is part of a continuing commitment we have to make our pubs the focus of local communities and a place where people can enjoy good food and a range of great beers in a relaxed surrounding."
Wilma Wallace, business development manager for Kelly Taverns, which contributed to the refurbishment, said: "We were happy to complete this project in conjunction with Everards and are confident that our combined experience in the pub industry will prove a winner.
"The Everard Arms is a popular local community pub and there has been a great deal of local interest into when it was going to be open.
"We are delighted and sure that customers old and new will be happy with the new look."
