Jygsaw Brands, the company formed to look after S&N's heritage ale brands, has appointed SHS Sales and Marketing

Jygsaw Brands, the company formed to look after Scottish & Newcastle's (S&N) heritage ale brands, has appointed SHS Sales and Marketing to support its sales in the on and off-trade.

Jygsaw has been formed by a team of former S&N managers in a joint venture with S&N and controls the sales and marketing rights of S&N's ale brands McEwan's, Younger's and Newcastle Exhibition as well as cider brands Woodpecker and Scrumpy Jack.

"We've chosen to partner with SHS Sales & Marketing for two key reasons,"​ said Jygsaw managing director Simon Brown.

"Firstly, with over 15 years' experience across both on and off-trade channels, they are unique among outsourcing agencies, bringing a depth of industry knowledge we can tap into.

"In addition, their flexible and dynamic approach to sales allows us to target the areas where we most need support."

Peter Butler, managing director of SHS added: "Our major responsibilities will be to help rejuvenate the brands, working with the S&N teams to deliver promotional push and ensuring accurate implementation and execution of promotions across trade."
