Budweiser has selected 10 finalists for its Brewmaster's Apprentice competition, which will make the winner an honourary brewmaster.

At the final at the beer brand's Stag Brewery in London on Friday, the 10 finalists will compete for the chance to travel the world over the next year learning about the brewing of Budweiser.

The winning apprentice's prize package includes a trip to Budweiser's flagship brewery in St Louis, Missouri, a visit to a German hop farm from which it sources raw material, as well as expert instruction from brewmasters at the Budweiser Stag Brewery.

To win, they will have to impress the judges at the final through a series of challenges, tasks and interviews.

The finalists come from around the UK and represent a range of professional backgrounds, including building, pub management, IT and office administration.

Budweiser brewmaster Hugo Anderson said: "We received a tremendous response to our call for entries and it's fantastic so many members of the public want to learn more about the skill and passion required to brew Budweiser.

"We're looking forward to meeting the 10 finalists and finding the one who most exemplifies true dedication to the craft of brewing."
