Winning a NITA proves a boost for business
Scooping BII NITA awards has been great for business, according to the companies that won last time around.
The entry process to the Publican backed awards, that recognise training excellence, has opened for this year and previous winners have been keen to highlight the benefits.
The Best Licensee Induction Programme, sponsored by the Publican, was won last year by Spirit Group.
David Mayes, Spirit's head of retail training, said: "It has been a huge motivator for new retail managers joining the business, knowing that they are taking part in an award winning induction programme, and of course there are great external PR benefits.
"The process itself was extremely efficient and professional and we enjoyed an excellent evening at the awards ceremony."
The Best Development Programme in Managed Estates, sponsored by Enterprise Inns, was won last year by snooker and pool venue operators Rileys.
A spokeswoman said: "Winning the award has raised the profile of Rising Stars and staff development across the company."
This year there are a total of 11 categories to enter. The awards are open to all - not just BII members.
