Don't miss out on entering 2008 BII NITAs
Time is fast running out to enter the 2008 BII NITAs.
The Publican-backed awards recognise training excellence and winners from last year have been keen to stress how scooping a prize has helped their business.
A year ago Margaret Orman picked up the licensee trainer of the year award.
Margaret, who is a tenant at Greene King pub the the Whitmore Arms, in Orsett, Essex, provides training for those starting out with the brewer and pubco.
Margaret, whose pub also won this year's Publican Award for Customer Service Pub of the Year, said: "It has been good for us in terms of publicity and Greene King put on a big celebration for us.
"We have also had lots of people coming in to see exactly what we are all about."
Last year Greene King picked up the Supreme Award as well as the best development programme in non-managed estates for its Greene King Pub Partners division.
Caroline Hollings, Greene King Pub Partners director of recruitment and training, said: "We would encourage all providers of training in the hospitality sector to enter the awards. The rigorous judging process and the feedback you receive, whether you win or not, is very high level from the expert panel."
Overall there are 11 categories to enter - and you do not have to be a BII member to do so.
To request an entry form email nita@bii.org, visit www.bii.org/competitions or call Claire Butler on 01276 417823.
Entries must be in before September 1.
